NGC 1365 is a beautiful barred spiral galaxy in Fornax and lies 60 million light years away. It is home to a massive black hole in its core. The knots seen along the bar are areas of intense star formation, which occur because the bar funnels material into this area. This was taken with the Celestron Edge HD 800 and ZWO ASI1600MC Cool. See @AstroCapetown for acquisition details.
